In our days at the university of Ife(Now Obafemi Awolowo university Ile-Ife where we entered the” prelim class” in 1974 He for medicine and I for Engineering, His simplicity and humanity betrayed the blood of royalty in him. His comportment,carriage and disposition always show the innate attributes of a royal blood. Although conscious of His royal parentage. he neither allowed it to overwhelm nor blindfold him from realities of life. He struggled and studied very hard to situate Himself in the barracks of the best in the class. Little wonder he made a second class upper Division (2:1) in his first Degree, B.sc (Hons) health Sciences and also in his MBChB
He is handsome to a fault. A lady’s man any day, but did not flaunt it .(that perhaps was why he was able to cope with a course as demanding as medicine)He was one of those few friends we enjoyedplaying scramble with because he will neither cut corners nor complain when the game goes against Him. I left Ife before him because while my course was for five years his was seven years.
After his medical degree he was in Ado-Ekiti for housemanship.I still remember he and some friends were staying in bungalow that was always a stop-over for known and unknown ex-Ifes. He was always a generous friend and a wonderful host. Progressively over the years and facets that God has made him to transverse before destiny brought him to the Throne of the Osemawe, he has to his credit dependability, diligence,good natured-ness,kindness and excellence exceptionally at all his duty posts.
Oba Dr. Victor Adesimbo Kiladejo has an infectious humane nature, highly accommodating and endowed with profound leadership qualities. He is cosmopolitan and well connected. I have every conviction that his reign would attract a lot of goodwill to Ondo kingdom and the people at large. It will surely be a progressive, peaceful and successful reign.
I join the people of Ondo Kingdom to thank the Almighty God for such a rare breed as the Osemawe at this point in time. Long may Kabiyesi reign.
